A few thunderheads rolled across southwest Oregon on Monday afternoon but no lightning-caused fires have been spotted — so far. The only area that had lightning was the Copco Rd. region — more than 15 miles southeast of Ashland in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument — where four strikes were recorded by ODF’s lightning tracker. Most of the lightning struck east of the Cascade Range in Klamath and Lake counties.
Today, the thunderstorms are expected to push farther south-southeast into northern California and Nevada.
