Special Update: Garner Complex 7/21/18 3:00
Governor Kate Brown invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act, which authorizes the Oregon State Fire Marshal to send more firefighters from around the state to help the local firefighters protect life, safety and property.
The Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Blue Team has been deployed to the Garner Complex and will join ODF Team 2 in unified command at 2:00 P.M. today. Six Task Forces and miscellaneous overhead have arrived today to support the local jurisdictions in structural protection.
At 2 A.M. this morning there was an IR (inferred camera) flight that flew over the complex. This flight enabled us to get more accurate acreage on the fires. Last night before the flight the total acreage reported for the fires was 3,365 after the flight heat detection camera’s were able to more accurately detect the updated acreage of the fires and reported a total acreage of 6,382.
Current Evacuation Orders:
Pleasant Creek Rd: Levels 2 and 3
Grave Cr. Rd is Level 3 north of intersection with Ditch Cr. Rd.
Pickett Rd and all cross roads are Level 2 and West Picket Rd. is Level 3.
